At WA Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgical Center, Dr. Parveen Kumar specializes in offering premier laparoscopic and bariatric surgical services tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Dr. Kumar completed his General Surgery training and became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2021. He pursued a fellowship in Surgical Oncology (Peritonectomy) under the guidance of Prof. Paul Moroj, Director of Western Australia Peritonectomy Services. This was followed by two years of intensive post-fellowship training in upper GI and bariatric surgery at Joondalup Health Campus, one of Australia's largest public bariatric units. During his tenure at Joondalup Health Campus, Dr. Kumar was an integral part of the Colorectal Unit and engaged in numerous laparoscopic and open surgeries for colon cancer and diverticular disease.
His commitment to advancing his surgical expertise is matched by his dedication to research, with several publications in international journals focused on obesity and related surgical treatments. Dr. Kumar is currently at the forefront of surgical innovation, providing care that is not only effective but also compassionate.
